PINT - Crunchy Mommy?

First off - the baby shower was fabulous! I'll do a post later this week. We spent all day Sunday "nesting" - and we still have so much to do! Hubby has been sick as a dog since then so I haven't had time to blog or comment - I've been tending to him and indulging in movies on the couch with a fire roaring away in the fireplace. I'm also really wiped most evenings now and pretty much crash after dinner and dishes so I'm a crap blogger until Jellybean comes!

Good for you!! You need to do what is best for you and your baby. Sorry people are giving you a hard time.

Ay, we're opposites on the baby decisions but exactly the same on the "it's my decision" front. It's no one's place to judge you. But trust me, someone who knows you are cloth diapering will probably gift you disposables "just in case". Just smile and say "Thanks! I'll drop these in the food pantry box, I'm sure someone can use them." :oD I'm snarky.

People always want to question parenting decisions. I breastfed all three of mine, so if you have any questions, you know I'm around!

Good for you!! Stand your ground... I think that's great what you are doing, especially since it's what's best for you and your baby.

Look at that you are a fabulous mom already!
I actually admire you for doing the cloth diapers myself. I have seen so many wonderful options now a days I am a little jealous they didn't have that when I had babies.
As for the formula and breast milk situation. My body never produced milk and it broke my heart so you go for it and enjoy every last loving, sweet, cuddling moment of that!!

I admire your decision, no matter the catalyst behind it. Go girl!

I BF mine, just stopped last week
:( for my little one.
I never understand why the questions come up, every parent makes choices that are the best FOR THEM.

There will always be somebody trying to tell you how to raise your kids. Well, you see, it's already started before the birth! Just smile, shrug 'em off and keep doing it your way!

You go girl! I think it all sounds like a wonderful plan and it isn't right for anyone to judge you. ((HUGS))

My only piece of advice is one that I wish someone had given me. If you can't breast feed don't feel like a failure. I just didn't make milk. There was so much pressure to breast feed I felt like an huge failure. Sometimes what we plan to do doesn't always work out.

Yes, do what is best for you. And sometimes, what you plan ahead of time ends up changing and that's okay...as long as it's what you decide. I tried breastfeeding with all of my kids, but my milk never came in fully either time, and with the twins I had no where near the supply I needed for two. I did however make baby food and loved it! It's sooooo much cheaper than store bought and a heck of a lot healthier! It's really hard when people ask you questions and then don't like your answers. When we were pregnant with our girls, my hubs's aunt asked what the names were going to be and when I told her she went "Ugh" and it made me so mad! I wanted to say, "It isn't your kid so it really doesn't matter what you think!"

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and showing some PINT love!

Cloth diapers are so cute! If I had the patience, I'd have totally done it.

Good for you :)

Good for you! That's the kind of attitude that will get your through anything, and unlike so many others out there, you won't be bitching your whole entire life away. I admire you and your grit!

Good for you! People always think they know better than you and that they need to let you in on it but you're the mommy and you get to make the rules! :) Hope hubby gets to feelin' better soon!

You have to do what is right for you! We did do disposable diapers and it was very expensive! I breast fed and it was the best experience!

Hope your hubby is feeling better. My hubby was sick over Thanksgiving and then my son was sick yesterday. Bad stuff going around...so stay healthy!

It totally annoys me when people don't mind there own business. I full intend on breastfeeding (if and when) I have a baby. But my husbands mom and sisters act like it's child abuse NOT to- so annoying. I FULLY support cloth diapering- and you're right, they are not the scrap of cloth and giant pins like they used to be- totally cute!!

Just found your blog today and want to applaud you. My wife and I just had our first little one 4 weeks ago! Time sure is flying! I wasn't so sure about the cloth diapering at first, but now that I've been there and done it, I can't imagine doing it any other way! It saves SOOOOOO much money and its way easier that most people think. We're also breastfeeders and plan on making our own food. I'm going to bookmark you so I can share interesting "recipies" we find!

Cloth diapering is FUN!!! Seriously, I got addicted to buying them, lol. So cute, so fun, so soft and SO MUCH better for them than sposies!
I felt so good about using them. I would fold them and feel all warm inside about how much of a good thing this was for my family. Financially and physically!
I miss it. I haven't been able to part with my dipes, even though my guy is 4yo. Maybe, maybe we'll have another some day and I can use them again!
